Experts suggest that laxity in following COVID Protocols many lead to a surge in positive cases in the city.
Bengaluru: Stall owners at Raheja Arcade in Koramangala, which is host to a large number of people looking to shop on a budget, seldom wear masks or follow COVID protocols. The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare are not followed — no one uses the sanitisers installed at the entrance, no one follows social distancing, and the security guard rarely checks the body temperature of the visitors. The items at each stall are touched by multiple people and are not cleaned afterwards. Many shopkeepers say that they are tired of sitting at home and keeping their business alive is more important than thinking about COVID.
