An old man fell from his scooter on Seshadri Road Monday morning, when his vehicle tires tangled with a cable wire that was lying on the road.
The victim, likely in his 70s, picked up a bruise on his toes. “My scooter skidded against the loose wire. I couldn’t see it from afar, but as I drove closer, the wires tangled against my tires,” he said.
A couple of policemen were present at the scene, helping the victim get up from his vehicle. A cab driver stopped at the scene and offered him water.
One of the policemen said wires like these are suspended on the streets all over the town and cause problems for commuters, especially two-wheelers.
