Number of students with special needs falls in Higher education when compared to Primary

Data by Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE) said that students with special needs enrolling in Primary (including both girls and boys) are higher than students enrolling in Higher education. The number of boys enrolling in education at all levels is higher as compared to the girls.

The number of suicides among the students has increased over the years. Academic distress among the students is one of the main causes for the increase in the number of suicides. The NCRB recorded more than 13,000 suicides among students in the year 2021.
