Shopkeepers on Avenue road witness fewer customers due to road construction.
Bengaluru: Just when the shopkeepers on Avenue Road were witnessing an increase in sales after the lockdown, the road construction work has again hit their sales. Shopkeepers are suffering losses as the 970 metre road is closed on both sides.
Pavan Kalyan, the site engineer at the Avenue road construction, said the work will take a year to complete. Around 20 workers are working on the project. Pramod, the owner of New Seema Creations on Avenue Road said that the smart city officials should increasethe workforce to finish the work faster. The Avenue Road Construction comes under the Tender S.U.R.E project and the length of the project is 1000 metres.
