Overseas education consultancies in the city see decrease in the number of students enrolling for consulting, suffer financially.

Bengaluru: A report  states that there was a 55 percent decrease in the number of people going overseas for education in 2020 as compared to 2019. This has impacted overseas consultancies in the city. Data shows that Bengaluru has the second highest number of students who go overseas for education in India. Joel Noronho, Head of Operations in Karnataka, AECC Global, said that the number of students enrolling had dipped by 50 to 60 percent in 2020 and it has barely risen by 10 percent this year. He added that they have been impacted financially and are dependent on profits from the past few years.
