In an exclusive interview to The Softcopy, the Indian shuttler speaks about what the next generation of shuttlers need

Bengaluru, March 1, 2018: Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap has stressed on the importance to groom more coaches across the country to help the next generation of badminton players in the country.

He also added that the former players needed to be better used for the growth of the sport.

“I don’t believe we need more academies, but I feel the person behind them is the most important. You can open any number of academies, but the coach, who is in control, is most important,” Kashyap said.

The 31-year-old also spoke about missing out on a berth in the badminton squad for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and more.
