With assembly elections just round the corner, CM hastens to inaugurate a multi-storey parking building still under construction at Freedom Park.
Bangalore, 1 March 2018: A half constructed multi-level car parking was inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah today at Freedom Park.
The construction of the the parking building began in 2016 and was to finish by 2018.
The three level parking space is to accommodate 580 four wheelers and 500 two wheelers, out of which 30 per cent of parking slots are reserved for women using both automobile and two wheelers..
“It will be usefulfor women to park here as there is huge traffic on Gandhinagar. But the construction work is taking time. We started two years ago. This inauguration is just for the elections as it will take more than six months for this parking slot to get ready” said Supriya, Civil Engineer at the site.
The cost of the construction of the parking building is Rs 7,456 lakhs.
