The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) held a press conference today at their office. Khushboo Sundar, the speaker and a Congress National speaker, spoke about the Congress Manifesto which was released on April 9. “In the manifesto, we talk about welfare – wealth, progress, diversity, and togetherness,” she explained.
She also called out to the opposition stating “Chowkidar chor hai. (They are thieves.)”
She mentioned the Goods and Services Tax (GST) scheme saying, “GST or as we call it, ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’ moved India back by 24 years. It was Modi’s struggle for dictatorship.” She added, “In the last five years, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has polarized the schemes. And when we win, we are going to put all the ‘chores’ (thieves) behind bars.”
Sundar, who was talking about the military forces of the country said, “We will make sure that we don’t take the credit away from our armed forces to gain votes.”
Sundar is a star campaigner for the Congress party and was going to assist Rizwan Arshad’s campaign, who is standing from the Bangalore North constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
BJP spokesperson- SY Surendra Kumar says, “They are accusing us unnecessarily in an underhanded effort to malign our reputation. By calling us a ‘Jumla’, they have discredited our party and its members.”
