In 2022, the total contribution of travel and tourism to GDP is 23 per cent lower than in 2019, the year prior to the onset of COVID-19 pandemic. The contribution to GDP is amounted to 7.7 trillion U.S. Dollars in 2022. It reached an estimated 9.5 trillion U.S dollars in 2023.
