Founder denied ticket, Task Force Pauses Activities,

Development Elections Politics

Residents urge for continuation of the committee’s development initiatives under a new leader, regardless of political affiliation.

The Mahadevapura Task Force (MTF), which was led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, Aravind Limbavali, has temporarily halted all activities that were being undertaken by the task force.

MTF is a committee that works to follow up with higher officials in order to clear and execute various development projects. The MTF has established seven sub-committees that focus on different issues, including traffic and major roads, environment, infrastructure, security, law and order, ward amenities, social empowerment, and public-private partnerships.

According to Sunil HP, a resident and member of the MTF, the decision to pause all activities of the committee was made due to the fact that its founder, Arvind Limbavali, did not receive a ticket from the BJP in the upcoming 2023 assembly elections of Karnataka.

He added, “MTF has been very useful for the residents of Mahadevpura and stopping it suddenly is not a good idea. Arvind Limbavali can possibly transfer the authority to next MLA because this initiative has been really beneficial to locals.

MTF was established in 2018 by MLA Arvind Limbavali, consisting of resident welfare associations, experts, industry representatives, bureaucrats, MLAs and MPs.

Ashok Mruthyunjaya AAP, Bangalore South Assembly MLA Candidate has requested the task force to work with them as well. “Please work with AAP and we shall bring better governance. Do not shut shop just because Arvind is not given ticket. We will give you same  respect to serve Mahadevpura.”

Arvind Singh, a follower of the page said, “Hope you continue your services in future too. It was a great initiative and worked well for improvement of infrastructure in Mahadevpura by regular feedback from citizens. It was  an easy platform to reach out to our area MLA.”

Pooja, a Political Science Professor, said, “Projects which are meant for the welfare of the common man should not be changed as parties come and go.,”

She added that political parties do a lot political rigging, but leaders need to have a vision for development. “Not getting a ticket from a party should not stop the development process. MTF should continue with  another leader.”
