Around 3 Indians are dying every minute due Covid-19 in the country.
Bangalore: India on Tuesday recorded over 3.29 lakh cases, which was the lowest count of daily Covid-19 cases in fourteen days, as per the data updated by the Union health ministry. Karnataka moves to the top with the highest number of cases recorded in a day in the country, moving Maharashtra to the second spot.
With the addition of 3,29,949 cases that were recorded in the last 24 hours, the total caseload of Covid-19 cases is 2,29,92,517. As the second wave of coronavirus unleashes in India, the country becomes home to almost half of the total Covid-19 infections around the globe. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has termed the Indian strain of Covid-19 as a “variant of concern”
India has administered a total of 17,27,10,066 doses, out of which 30,70,084 doses come under the miscellaneous category, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Maharashtra continues to lead in doses administered, with 1,82,64,212 total doses administered so far followed by Rajasthan at 1,42,88,032 and Gujarat at 1,41,60,135.
