Karnataka United Front to Stage Protests Soon

Karnataka united firm is going to stage protests against the government to make Kannada compulsory in the state.

On the day of the meeting on 22nd November 2018 of the Chief Minister , HD Kumaraswamy, and the sugarcane factory owners, some 10 members of the Karnataka United firm, including the president, who were waiting outside the CM guest office, said that they would soon go on a protest to make Kannada language compulsory not only in schools and colleges but also in all the important documents of police and government as well.

Vishwanath GP, vice president of the Karnataka United front, said that, “The CM promised us that he would make it possible. But nothing has been done yet.”

The Front gave a signed petition last month to the CM, and the CM promised them that he would fulfill their demands in a week. “It’s been a month now since we signed a petition, we are still waiting for the CM to take a step.”

According to a spokesperson of the CM, the CM has been working on these demands and he will look into the matter as soon as possible.

The Softcopy newspaper spoke to some residents of Bangalore about this issue, one of them staying at Koramangala, Mr Vishwakarma, said that, “This is a good thing that is happening. It should be made compulsory and I will support the protest.”

One of the residents of Bangalore, M Vishwakarma, who resides in M.G road, has been working in an IT organization in the city since two years said that, “People like me who can’t read Kannada would be a little tough for us.”

On 22nd November 2018, the members of the Karnataka United Firm were waiting outside the CM’s office to talk to him about this issue.
