Ahead of state elections, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, did a road show for BJP in Mandya, Karnataka.
During his road show, UP’s CM, Yogi Adityanath, announced that there will be a state guest house for Karnataka in Ayodhya, by the time of Ram Mandir’s inauguration in January 2024.
Adityanath a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said, “Karnataka is close to Uttar Pradesh as this is where Lord Rama met his devotee Hanuman. Kannadigas are more than welcome to come here and visit the temple.” He further added that that the people of Karnataka will have a guest house in Uttar Pradesh by the time the temple is built in Ayodhaya.
Karnataka is scheduled to have its assembly elections on May 10, 2023. BJP is campaigning for elections by inviting celebrities and other political figures like K. Annamalai, Rajnath Singh and Nirmala Sitaraman. On Wednesday, Yogi Adityanath addressed a gathering in Mandya, Karnataka with a road show and rally. More than 200 people gathered for the road show.
Yogi talked about the developments that have taken place in Karnataka under the BJP government. He said that the relationship between Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh is like the bond between Lord Rama and his greatest devotee Hanuman.
Yogi said, “From supporting farmers to nurturing the Information Technology Sector, Karnataka is touching the heights of success under the influence of CM Basvaraj Bommai.” He added, “What has Congress done apart from making fake promises? They come up with schemes but by the time they act on them, their tenure ends . Where is the development?”
Ashok Jayaram, Mandya’s Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Sumalatha, Member of Parliament from Mandya, Education Minister of Karnataka, Dr. Ashwath Narayan and the state minister of sports, Narayana Gowda were also present at the road show.
MP Sumalatha said that under Yogi’s government, there is no sign of crime in UP and that they are happy to learn from him and make Karnataka crime free. She said, “I appeal to you all to cast your vote for us.”
Education Minister, Dr. Ashwath Narayan, said that Yogi is a bulldozer baba. He said that his ideology kicked out the disturbing elements and wiped off the opposition in UP. “We wish to implement the Yogi model in our state if we (BJP) come to power,” he added.

Yogi said, “Unlike during the period of Congress, Karnataka will not provide reservations to people on the basis of religion. Congress has protected people of terrorist organizations like Popular Front of India (PFI) by giving them reservations in the name of religion. This will not happen under BJP’s rule.”
V. S. Ugrappa, from Indian National Congress, said, “This is another political stunt of BJP to woo their voters. Why is Yogi not focusing on the pending developments in his own state? He is talking about developments in Karnataka when he should be focusing on Uttar Pradesh. Calling people from outside is not going to help BJP with votes this time.”
Veeranna S. G., from Janata Dal (Secular), said, “I do not understand the logic behind calling a politician who is known for a dictator kind of politics. BJP does not know that this might take a toll on their campaign. This rally is nothing but the downfall of the image of the BJP government.”
Meanwhile, people were excited to see Yogi Adityanath’s road show. A couple, Sunil and Pushpa, came along with their children who are aged below ten years. They said that they are big fans of Yogi Adityanath and that their family has voted for BJP for as long as they can remember. They said that we definitely want to see BJP leading the government this year.
Asha came all the way from Mysuru with her seven-year-old daughter to see Yogi’s road show. “My husband is ill, that is why he could not come, but he sent us to see Yogi’s road show. We are definitely voting for BJP as we are happy with the working of the government.”
