Mahendra alleged that his visually impaired wife was transferred thrice within four years on grounds of revenge.
Mahendra A. S., an employee of Karnataka Gramin Bank in Hassan, held a press conference today to seek reversal of the transfer of his wife, C.K. Jaikiran, District Child Protection Officer in Hassan. He alleged that his wife’s transfer was a retaliatory act for her filing corruption charges against K.G. Dileep, the District Programme Officer of Woman and Child Development in Hassan. He added that this was his wife’s third transfer within the last four years, with the most recent one being to Tumakuru.
“My wife and I are visually disabled, and it would be difficult for us to keep shifting with family members who are also dependent on us,” he said.
He alleged that his wife had to face six cases in the Karnataka High Court because of Dileep, all of which they won. “I request that a compensation of Rs. 30 lakh be paid to us for the mental agony my family suffered because of this,” he said.
He said that there are currently two ongoing corruption cases against Dileep, including allegations of scams, providing substandard food, and accepting bribes. He requested CM Siddaramaiah to look into the matter and conduct a thorough investigation. “This is a violation of the rights of the disabled,” he said.
