The company launched the Karnataka dealership with a new off-roader.
Polaris India is not planning to add more dealers in the country, said Lalit Sharma, Managing Director, Polaris India, at the inauguration of Bornfree Motors LLP as the authorised off-road vehicle dealer for Polaris in Karnataka. He believes that the existing ten dealers and this eleventh dealer are efficient and enough for the operation.
He expressed confidence in the partnership with Bornfree Motors. “Karnataka has proven to be a strategic market for us, and we believe that Bornfree Motors LLP, under Mr. Prithvi Prasad’s leadership will contribute significantly to our growth in the region,” he added.
Polaris India Pvt. Ltd, established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Inc. (USA) started its operations in India in 2011. Currently, it has a network of ten dealerships across the country.
Prithvi Prasad, Director, Bornfree Motors LLP, expressed his happiness in opening the dealership in Bangalore. He said, “The market is really good due to the presence of vast land including mines and farms. Government departments like the coastal patrol, forest department, etc also use Polaris vehicles because of their capacity to perform in difficult terrains.” He added that the recently launched Sportsman 570 tractors will have more potential in the agriculture field as it has more capability at a lower price than normal tractors.
Aditya Vikram Bhatt and Haji Ali were the first customers of Bornfree Motors. New model RZR Pro R4 Premium was launched in the inauguration event.
Seetharam. C.N, an auto enthusiast said that he is “Quite excited about the event.” He said that Polaris vehicles have more potential and people, especially farmers, should be more aware of the vehicles’ capabilities.
Prithviraj, Secretary, Bangalore Offroad Drivers Association said that it is good to have Polaris opening a dealership in Bangalore. “The city has the potential and there are people who would want to use a Polaris for off-roading and adventure,” he added. He also explained that the market is good with more and more people entering into off-roading. “We have different terrains near Bangalore suitable for off-roading and it is an adventurous and exciting sport,” he added.
Chetan Korada, the only Para athlete in Indian motorsports and owner of Quest Motorsports Team and Academy, Chennai emphasized the need of introducing more made-in-India vehicles. “I truly believe that manufacturers and developers from the new generation should come up with make in India vehicles instead. We have come across many youngsters in India who have brilliant ideas but just need the support and time to make their products work,” he said.
