Bangalore Cantonment station faces technical glitches due to speed trials.

Speed trials were being conducted at the Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station to match the standard speed of Vande Bharat. Currently, the approved standard speed for other trains is 100-110 kmph, while the standard speed for Vande Bharat is 180 kmph.

An official from the Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station, said they were asked to increase the standard speed of the trains to 180 kmph. “We are done with the trial for 120 kmph, but approval from the engineering department is yet to come.”

These speed trials caused several trains to be diverted and rescheduled from Bengaluru Cantonment to Whitefield on Tuesday. These trains are now on time and will stop at the Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station as scheduled.

As per a report, the trains’ routes were diverted due to line and power blocks for the insertion of a girder on line number three at the Bengaluru yard.

The Station Master on duty at Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station said, “We were facing a  few problems yesterday but the issue has been resolved now. The trains will function as per their scheduled time from today.”

The official said, “We face many such technical problems which are caused by many reasons.”

The Bangalore Cantonment station was marked as canceled yesterday on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) app’s train schedule for many trains. Now, it is now showing that the trains will stop as scheduled.
