Start-ups bloom at Christ University’s E-summit

Students from various colleges visited Christ University to participate in different events. 

In one of the most crowded entrepreneurship summit held at Christ University, start-ups were the star of the event. Students from various colleges put their stalls, showcased and pitched their start-up ideas to visiting business men in the first day of the two-day-long summit, ‘Innowave 2023.’

One start-up that stood out, an app that will remind us to blink whenever we have been looking at the screen for too long without blinking Anoushka, who created the app said that it was very common for people not to blink while looking at screens.

Krish, was promoting his startup “i Dare” with the motto “Their reaction is not your responsibility”. “i Dare” is an app for people who are suffering from mental health issues such as anxiety, depression or even feeling low. It is a holistic app that connects people with therapy experts, psychologists, mental health specialists, fitness specialists, etc. 

Real estate developer and co-founder of the Hiranandani group, MR KS Niranjan Hiranandani said that the younger generation was the future of business because young minds possess business ideas like never before. He also talked about industry wisdom and discussed with what mindset one should step into the business.

The “Womenpreneur Conclave” analysed the role of women in the business industry and discussed how women entrepreneurs were leading from the forefront.

Several panel discussions and a sustainability pitch were held and entrepreneurs, innovators, incubators, speakers, and investors participated. Suhani, a member of the organizing committee said that the events for today are divided into three zones. The first zone is focused on the talks with great minds, the second zone is focused on startup showcase stalls, and the third zone is on the master class on business topics. 

Prithvi, a member of the managing committee said that the crowd is more than what we expected. “What you are witnessing is the largest crowd till now in our university,” he said. 

On a lighter note, there were accessories stalls by students selling jewelry and postcards and a  Qawali event took place at end the day.
