Soura Chatterjee, who was born in West Bengal said, “My current show ‘Nahi Manzoor’ depicts the theme of my art, which shows the people who don’t quit and raise their voice against the mishappenings around them. This is my first solo show, and after this I’ll be having another group show in Baroda. I’m not planning any solo show for one and a half year because I want to take a gap to paint more new concepts.”

Chatterjee comes from a background where he has seen people getting suppressed by society, families and political leaders.  And through his art, he tries to express his feelings and emotions. He said, “I focus on the politics which happens around us, be it family politics, relationship politics, or government politics. I want people to have a little hope and not just sit silently or quit easily.”
