Mother and step mother arrested in the murder of 16-year old

Police have arrested the mother and step mother of the 16-year-old girl who was murdered recently.

Amit Singh, Superintendent of police said, "We arrested them after the girl's father said he was helped by both his wives. Both the wives were taken into custody from their residence. They will be produced in the court tomorrow."

"The body and other materials collected from the residence have been sent for postmortem," he added.

The first accused, Chikka Narasimhaiah, the girl's father had claimed that he had murdered his daughter on October 22. . The victim, a class 10 student of Mandigeri Government School, had eloped with a boy from another caste.
