Bangalore: Washrooms for the differently-abled people at Rajajinagarmetro station and many other stations remain locked. The washrooms are either not maintained properly or lack the basic infrastructure. This makes it difficult for differently-abled people to access them. Geeta, Principal of Samarthanam Trust for Special Needs School, said that such washrooms should be made more disabled-friendly. They need sidebars and ramps to make them fully accessible. There should be a minimum of one washroom each for men and for women. Differently-abled people said that the metro washrooms need to have more ramps and should be cleaner.

The general washrooms are open but the washrooms for the differently-abled people remain locked at Rajajinagar Nagar Station.
The locked washroom at Mysuru Metro Station makes it difficult for differently-abled people to access it.
