  • IWD-women Achievers Award 2020

When: March 8

Where: Ravindra Kala Nominations

What to Expect: An award ceremony for the invited guests. This event is to honour the women souls of Bangalore that have contributed to the society. Five to six Facebook groups like ‘Naari Shakti’, ‘Kannada Ammadiru’ came together to organise this event.

Organiser Speaks: “We have organized this award ceremony to honour the women of our society who are dedicated to bringing change in it.”

  • Women’s Day Run

When: March 8

Time: 6 am- 9 am

Where: BBMP playground, Sector 2, HSR layout

What to Expect: Kaagaz Foundation is organizing the fourth edition of the women’s day run. The program will start off with a Zumba session to warm up for the 8 kms of a marathon. It will start from HSR layout. In this event, this organization is honouring two people for their contribution towards society.

Fee: Rs 400 each

Organser Speaks: “This marathon invites women that are not regular runners to try this space for once. Other than that, we want them to take the public places and also be a part of the public events. We’ll start with a zumba workout session followed by the run. In the end, the finishers will receive the medals. Besides that we are also honouring two people for their contribution towards our society,” said Kavitha Reddy, Founder of Kaagaz Foundation.

  • Women’s Day Celebration at Inorbit Mall

When: March 7-8

Time: 11 am- 8 pm

Where: Inorbit Mall, Whitefield

What to Expect: To mark the day special  “Women’s Day Celebration in Inorbit Mall” has come up with two days full of exciting events like live music band performance, adult carnival games along with theme decoration, photobooth and other entertainment stuff which could be enjoyed with a range of food options.

Fee: Rs 250

  • Siya – Women’s Day Celebration

When: March 8

Time: 3pm-6pm

Where: ClayWorks Create, Arakere Bannerghatta Road.

Expect: An evening dedicated to the woman power. It is going to be a conversational event where there will be story-telling, some pep talks, and will be space for the women to strengthen their network.

Organiser speaks: “We are organising this event for women to connect and share their struggle, their stories and get inspired by each of them,” said, Sanjana Bhardwaj, Communication Associate.

  • Women’s Day Celebration ft : Dj Rajath Roran

When: March 8- 9,

Time: 7 am- 12.30 am

Where: Opus Super Club, Ambalipura, HSR Layout

Expect: A night dedicated towards the women. Music, dance and a huge range of food and beverages will set the mood high for the night. DJ Rajath Roran will churn out his popular bollywood beats for you to keep grooving on the floor. A selection of drinks will be on the house for the women.

Organiser speaks :  “We have organized such an event for the women that they can enjoy with friends and family. We are having a DJ night for them too. We encourage them to take a day out for themselves and enjoy to the fullest,” Opus Super Club.

  • Open House Retro party on Women’s Day

When: March 8

Time: 10 am- 1 pm

Where: Ambition Studio, Iblur Village, Bellandur

Expect:   A four-hour event including various activities for the women to enjoy the day. The first segment consists of dance performance on Bollywood numbers followed by some game activities, and the program will conclude with a fashion show.

 Organiser Speaks:  Anu  Prasanna, Founder, and teacher of  Ambition Studio said, “We have been organising this event every year but this year we are holding it on the world women’s day to encourage women to come forward and participate. We heartily invite all women to come and be a part of it.”
