A ransom of Rs 1 crore was demanded and the victim was abducted by his friend

Bangalore, April 12, 2018: The Bangalore City Police solved a case of kidnapping that took place on Sunday evening. Shivakumar, a city-based businessman was kidnapped by his business partner, Satya. He was rescued two days after the kidnappers were caught.

Seemant Kumar Singh, Additional DCP of South East in a press conference said that six police officers were assigned to this case and it was solved within 48 hours. The victim was found in Srinivasapura Taluk and six people were arrested. The victim was last seen in JP Nagar 9th phase at 4 PM on Sunday.

Along with the primary kidnapper, Satya, three other kidnappers named Vinod, Jaganath and Sanjay were arrested. They were booked for kidnapping Shivakumar and similar offences.

Shivakumar, the victim, said that he was deceived by Satya since they were talking about work after which he was kidnapped by four people who were hired by Satya.

The Additional DCP officer gave a reward to Koramanagala Sub Inspector Venkatesh for bravery, since he caught the kidnappers and saved Shivakumar’s life.

Shivakumar’s wife Sudha said that the ransom amount, to rescue Shivakumar, was set to Rs 1 crore, and she was constantly threatened since she could not give the kidnappers the amount.
