Karnataka homeopathy board supremo says that the use of homeopathy has increased in the state.

Bangalore, 11th April 2018: The use of classical Homeopathy as an alternative to the more widely recognised allopathic medicine is on a rise in India, says Dr  B T Rudresh, head of Karnataka Homeopathy Board.

The Karnataka Homeopathy Board, a semi-autonomous body under the government of Karnataka, after conducting an independent study across six districts in Karnataka has found that 10 per cent of the total population has shifted to homeopathy from allopathic medicine.

However, as compared to Kerala, which tops the list in the practice of homeopathy, Karnataka has been lagging behind. Dr Rudresh said that Karnataka has about 45 homeopathic dispensaries where as Kerala has 1000.

“The Government has sanctioned the construction of 49 more. It is our wish to have one dispensary in every Taluk of the State,” added Dr. Rudresh.

The Centre for Classical Homeopathy in collaboration with International Academy of Classical Homeopathy will be hosting a seminar in Bangalore. The two day seminar will see the participation of 500 doctors from 23 Indian states along with others who’ll be joining from other countries like Greece, Switzerland, Malaysia etc.

Dr. Mahesh, Director of the academy has said that this one of a kind event is the largest ever in India in the field of homeopathy. “The one interesting fact is that all the doctors who are participating are people who switched from practicing allopathy to homeopathy,” added Dr. Mahesh.

Both Dr. Mahesh and Dr. Rudresh hope to bring about a scientific understanding of homeopathy through this seminar.
