VU launches official Android TV;set to compete with Sony and Sharp

The California based Indian company has launched three types of Android TV.

Bangalore, March 13, 2018: California-based Indian company, VU has launched its series of Android TV in Bangalore on Tuesday. They have come up with three types, a 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch television sets.

They are all set to compete with Sony and Sharp in the Indian Android television market. VU’s 55-inch product, which costs Rs 56,000, will compete with Sony, whose 55-inch Android TV costs Rs 1, 25,000.

Devita Saraf, VU’s Founder and CEO said that the company’s new product will revolutionise the television industry by combining quality picture and sound with certified and high-end technology.

The new range of VU will run on Android 7.0, an in-built chromecast, in-built sound bar and A+ grade IPS panel.

However, the prices of a VU television set in India is more than the prices in the United States..  VU’s CEO attributed the difference in costs to the 28 per cent duty tax levied in India.

VU’s new products will be first made available on Flipkart on March 16. The company is the most sold online TV company.

Ajay Yadav, Vice President of Flipkart said that the company has brought in a change in the television industry through its innovative products, which has led to it to being No.1 sold television company on internet.
