Another Stand Against BJP in Bangalore

Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) have scheduled the inauguration of its national campaign "Unite Against the Politics of Terror" on 8th April, 2017 at Ambedkar Bhavan in Bangalore.

SDPI's campaign is an appeal to all the people in the country to help in strengthening the rule of law in India. SDPI National General Secretary Elyas Thumbe says that the country is under a government that is creating 'violence' and this campaign aims for a 'secular atmosphere'.

The national campaign will see a series of public meetings and seminars tomorrow. The political and religious issues provocated by the BJP will be narrated through street plays and acts in West Bengal and Rajasthan by the SDPI this month.

"BJP is attacking the youth and calling them Romeo' s, they are going to every house in UP to see if they are selling beef", says Elyas Thumbe.

A man was being thrashed for selling chicken in Bangalore yesterday, he adds. The inhuman behaviour towards the people is what they are against of. "Calling the dalits 'naxalites' is only creating tension and differences", says State Secretary of SDPI, Akram Hasan.

Their first narration will be on the need of efficiency of election commission based on the recent UP elections. The transparency of EVMs and use of ballot paper as an alternative is one of their main topics of discussion.

They are preparing for a 'dharna' on 29th April, 2017 at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
